The Baja fish tacos/burrito was recommend to me to try & it did not disappoint. I've had it a few times now and the lack of star was due to it not being consistent on all visits. Some times it lacked flavor while sometimes it was great! I've even ordered on DoorDash & the fish was still crispy! The carne asada taco was whatever, definitely not something to talk about. Worker in the front was really friendly and was helpful.
After landing in SFO from Austin, TX, my family and I decided to stop by La Taquiza for lunch. The carne asada taco and fish battered taco hit the spot. We are definitely stopping by this spot on our next visit.
I came here on my lunch break simply out of proximity and my love for fish tacos. I got the combo which included 2 fish tacos (your choice of grilled or fried) and any drink. A salsa bar always catches my attention so I was excited to see one however only lids on the table, no cups. Meaning I'd have to ask which is not my favorite. My order came out quickly and I piled on the pickled onions and salsa. I ate the first taco and it was pretty good. The second one I forked it and only ate the insides which was much more pleasing to me. Like really good! Not sure why, but it seemed like the tortilla was stealing the flavors of the freshly fried fish. Anywho, I'd come back to try other options if I'm ever working in the area again.
So glad La Tequiza is back after a short closure ! And again the food is still delicious, as before! Some of the best tacos in the Napa Valley , the Ceviche is also some of the best, the whole menu from Pepita salads to bowls are solid choices of flavor, freshness and authenticity!
This is easily my favorite taqueria in Napa! I'm in love with their variety of tacos including fish (grilled or fried), carne asada, shrimp, grilled octopus, chicken, and grilled oyster. Ever since reopening under new ownership they have also brought back the salsa bar and expanded their selection of drinks which has been a nice touch. They also give really great service--especially for a non-formal restaurant.
La Taquiza is open again. Yummy. So happy. Their fish tacos are the best and they reopened their salsa bar. Highly recommend great food, fast service and friendly people.

So I'm giving this place 4 stars simply for the beer battered fish tacos!! The taqueria is a sMall place but the 1 fish taco I ordered had very fresh ingredients and so good! My expectations from my childhood is that the tortilla would've also been fried , but not many places do that, it was a soft tortilla. I only ordered 1 taco because I had dinner waiting for me at the place I was staying at in Napa. I also went need grocery shopping (Grocery Outlet). The flavors are very close to my childhood memories and I will ABSOLUTELY return when I am In Napa .
